EXPERIENCE LIBBY, MONTANA

LET THE ADVENTURE BEGIN

The Libby area offers more than two million acres of public lands for outdoor recreation. The Kootenai National Forest has hundreds of miles of hiking trails and many scenic places to camp with wildflowers and huckleberries nearby.

High-mountain lakes, miles of streams and the Kootenai River beckon anglers from across the world. The 90-miles long Lake Koocanusa is a major attraction to boaters and lake fishermen.

The area has good hunting for deer, elk, moose, bear and mountain sheep with many local outfitters and guides available for out-of-state hunters.

A downhill ski area called Turner Mountain is located roughly 22 miles northeast of Libby. The ski area is equipped with a chairlift that takes you to the mountain peak and miles of backcountry roads for cross-country skiing and snowmobiling. Whatever the season, there are plenty of things to do in and around Libby.

This Week Libby serves as a starting point for planning your next Montana adventure or for deciding what to do next while you are already here. The online hub is updated frequently by locals and offers an inside look at the best places to play, dine, shop and relax.

Start here — then let your adventure begin.
